Hi everybody! So, what are a few things you definitely couldn't do without... in regards to baby items? I'd like to know if there's anything I missing out on! ;-)

My baby is only 3.5 months, so I'm sure my list will change as she gets older, but so far mine are:
1. Fisher Price Nature's Touch Swing
2. Fisher Price Precious Planet Jumperoo
3. Aden and Anais Swaddle Blankets - big enough and stretchy enough for the perfect swaddle!
4. Dr. Harvey Karp's books and DVD - Happiest Baby on the Block - was a lifesaver for the first two months!
5. Boppy - don't use it so much anymore, but I could not have breastfed without it!
6. Northern Essence Diaper Salve - clears up redness in one application (and we use cloth diapers, so other diaper rash creams are a no-no)

  My son is 1 now, but from the time he could hold his head up until he was about 20 pounds, the Exersaucer was the greatest thing ever!

  bouncer seat & walker...my son loves his walker but his 8 months old so you'll have to wait a while for that

  Jumpers and as a previous person said an Exersaucer, my daughter has been using them since 2 months. My Ped recommends not using a walker because they can reach stuff easier and many children have hurt themselves.

  Forgot another thing..TOYS! Ones with noise and lights. Especially educational ones are fabulous!

  We have the Fisher Price My Little Lamb Cradle ~n~ Swing, and I couldn't live without it! My daughter just rocks and swings in that thing all night long! My fiance and I keep wondering if it's bad for her to rock back and forth all night. What do you guys think? I also bought a handheld mirror and she loves to stare at herself in it.

  Shanell, we let our baby sleep in his swing for a long time to sleep. It was the only way anyway of us could get any sleep at all! And he is fine now (he's 2). We had the Nature's Touch Swing.

  I use a formula separator so when we're out, all I have to do is dump the formula in the bottle without worrying about how many scoops. And he LOVES his Bumbo chair (he's 2.5 months old)

  I can't live without the swing!! By far the most important thing I have. The Bumbo chair is also a must. And the bottle brush- very small, but an absolute necessity.

  Just got a bumbo. So far she likes it for about 15 minutes, then she's ready to get out and get moving in her jumper

  My LO is 8.5 months old. Looking back the essential items were: boppy newborn lounger, bumbo, blankets for sleeping (he loves them), baby trend snap and go stroller, chicco hook-on to table chair (awesome for eating out), huggies overnight diapers, large bibs

  What's the deal with the Bumbo chair? I had never even heard of it until all of y'all started posting about it! By the way, I have a diaper rash secret...if you mix equal parts Desitin and A&D ointment, it works wonderfully. A nurse at the hospital told me about it, and my baby has never had diaper rash (except for a few days after we switched diapers).

  the bumbo is a chair that let's them sit up on their own early on... i think they recommend 4 months and older. it has a tray you can attach to it. i use it to give ian cheerios and other finger foods.

  My daughter's not quite 2 mos old. I couldn't get by without my glider, the rocking ottoman, boppy and a set of colorful Spanish/ English flashcards that my daughter loves!

  my twins are 10 months old & i can't live without a stroller for SURE!! i don't think i could go anywhere without it!! LOL!! also love their highchairs, lots of toys like the laugh & learn home, ride on toys, anything musical...for the first couple of months i would say swings, bouncers, twin nursing pillow, exersaucer, boppy pillow, BURP RAGS!, and a white noise machine in their bedroom. #1 would be the baby trend double snap and go stroller (i agree with jaclyn!)

  just so u here from my expierience dont use the jumperoo untill she starts to stand making childrren walk too much b4 for there reafy can cause muscle and developing issues this is fact not an opioniob !! use it only short periods once in while they could be encourged to skip crawling and not build up mucle in arread needde enough !!!

  I second Jesse, the ITZBEEN is hands-down the most important baby item we used & it's what we now give all new mom baby showers!

  My son LOVED his exersaucer. I think that kept him entertained for hours sometimes!! He would laugh and giggle.....so cute!
