I just wanted to introduce myself. I am the mother of 3 boys. I was let go from my computer programming job due to the economy 4 weeks before my third son was born in March. I am now an independent contractor because the demand was luckily there! I am mommy all day long and then work from 9PM to 4AM. I was blessed with children that love to sleep, but I am still only getting 6 hours of sleep a night, sometimes with an afternoon nap. I am tired but its worth it to see that little baby grin whenever I want.

Interesting that you were let go, but the demand is there for you to do it on your own. That is great though...sounds like a tough schedule. I agree being around the children is worth the hassle!

What were you doing before you had your baby? What hobbies do you have? Find something that will interest you otherwise doing work from home is tough....too many distractions.

Hello! by N574750880_27710_thumb32 Amber Ortega in Parents who work at home with tots updated about 1 year ago

Hi all! My name is Amber, I'm a work at home mommy of three. I work part time as a blogger for kidglue.com and I sell Shaklee. I am looking to expand my Shaklee as I just signed up to sell about a week or two ago. It's hard to find the time with three kids running around, but I love having the opportunity to be with my kids when they need me the most.

I am a mother of a daughter, soon going to be 3 years old. I have been a freelance web designer for almost 4 years now. And I really thank her for being the best supporter and encouragement to work. It feels wonderful by just being around her and see her grow up in every way.

I do a little web design myself...but only for personal reasons...as long as it is just words and photos I can design with the best of them. Otherwise I just stick to accounting!

Hi by Dona_015_thumb32 Linda Dona in Parents who work at home with tots updated about 1 year ago

My name is Linda, and I have a soon-to-be one year old daugther (June 1st is the big day), and am pregnant with my second baby, due on October 9th. I work from home exclusively doing broadcast closed captioning (the closed captioning you see on live television programming.) I currently work very early morning hours uring the week before my husband leaves for work so I can watch my daughter all day. It's a challenge to work full time and watch my daughter, Eva, full time, so I'm glad that I found this group and am looking forward to learning from others on how you manage to balance it all. Glad to be a part of the group!

    Linda

My kids have been out of school for winter break for the past week and have another week to go. I don't know how mothers/fathers stay at home with the kids all day without a break. I am about to go crazy. Maybe it's because I'm 8 months pregnant and can't get around like I like to. In addition to my short patience. My mom has also been here for about 3 weeks and hasn't done much to relieve me of my duties. She's added to the number of people I have to clean up after.

I have not been able to focus on my business because I'm constantly interrupted for one reason or another. I feel torn because the kids need my attention and so does the business. How do you divvy up the time?

I work from home part time (4 hours a day) with my 17 month old daughter home with me. I do as much as I can during her naps - but also I try to finish up all my work before 11am. She tends to do better playing by herself in the morning hours, and gets a bit needier later in the day. It took some time and experimenting to get it figured out, but it seems to be working - at least for now! :)

Hello by Profilephoto-mammazac11268-0_thumb32 Angi Zacchini in Parents who work at home with tots updated about 1 year ago

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am the mother of a 7 month old and I go into the office two days a week and work from home the rest. It gets crazy trying to get work done during nap time and any other time that he will let me.

Hope to hear more from people soon!
