My four month old daughter is going through a phase where she will only behave if I'm holding her. Even her daddy can't console her if she's upset. I can't leave the house for ten minutes to grab a cup of coffee without coming home to a screaming baby. What gives? She used to be great with everybody, even strangers, and now all of a sudden she just wants Mommy ALL THE TIME! Is this normal? Will it end? What can I do about it? The irony is that until recently I was the one with separation anxiety, haha.

I can relate! My daughter was a Mama's girl from day one all the way till about a month ago. She'll be 11 months on the first, so it lasted a short time compared to some children. It's totally normal though. I was told by several people that there isn't really much to do other than to wait it out. Though, I did read in a parenting magazine that playing peek-a-boo helps get them comfortable with separation, which is something I did, and still do often.
